The karyotype will be performed on lymphocytes from peripheral blood. The laboratory will require
5 – 10 ml non clotted heparin-blood (please make sure no EDTA-containers are used!) The blood sample should be dispatched immediately via express mail.
For DNA analysis 10 – 20 ml EDTA-blood will be required (heparin-blood is not suitable here). Please ship express by start of a week.
Blood containers as well as shipping material are provided by the genetic institutes upon request. It is advisable to get in touch with an institute near your home.
